We are a museum created by and for the Alachua County community. As a member, you are a stakeholder in the preservation of our collective history and assist us in sharing it with the greater region.

All memberships purchased prior to October 1 will be valid through January 1. Memberships purchased after October 1 will roll over to January 1 of the next year, giving you up to three additional months of membership for free. For example, if you purchase your membership on August 1, 2025, your membership will be valid through January 1, 2026. If you purchase your membership on October 31, 2025, it will be valid until January 1, 2027.

Southeastern Reciprocal Membership

The Matheson History Museum has officially joined the Southeastern Reciprocal Membership (SERM) program! What does this mean for you?

It means that when our members visit participating museums throughout the southeast, they will receive some of the same benefits as that museum’s members:

  • Free admission during museum hours (museums may temporarily suspend the reciprocal program for special exhibits).
  •  The same discount on purchases made in the gift shop or café as the host museum members.
  •  The same discount on purchases made on the premises for concert and lecture tickets as the host museum members.
