Rent our unique space for your next event!

The Main Exhibit Hall in the Matheson History Museum is available for rentals. The front porch of the Historic Matheson House is not currently available due to the Matheson House Rehabilitation Project. Please click on the blue button below and fill out the rental inquiry form.

We highly recommend you make an appointment to come see the space before you commit to using our facility. If you choose to use our facility, we will draw up a contract with additional information for you. Rates

Non-Profit Event (proof of non-profit status required):

Deposit – $100
$80 per hour, $20 per hour steward fee, no tax = $100 per hour

Private Event:

Deposit – $200
$180 per hour, $20 per hour steward fee = $200 per hour + all applicable sales taxes

***Rates are for weekday rentals outside of the Museum’s regular operating hours. Weekend rentals and rentals during the museum’s operating hours may be available at at a higher rate if available.

  • Access to the museum’s prep kitchen
  • Rectangular folding tables
  • Black padded folding chairs
  • Black tablecloths
  • Screen and projector w/ HDMI input
  • Podium and microphone

Parking

Parking is available in the museum’s parking lot on the east side of the building. For weekend and evening events parking is also available at the Alachua County Public Schools District Office and next door at the Law Office of Attorneys Folds & Walker.

The museum is ADA accessible.
